  1. Wow, I got my email last night at 7PM, too! I was really starting to lose hope, so was very happily surprised. Signed everything this AM. It's been a long wait to get to this point, so I suppose I'm OK waiting a bit longer for the countersign, but it is indeed nerve-wracking! FYI, I too am an NP and my contract was for RN. I assumed it was the same basic contract for both NPs and RNs, which is why it didn't specify.
  2. I'm tier 1, 138% (NP), and can't believe that might exclude me. I thought going in that my chances were at least somewhat reasonable. What's the point of having tiers if they can't even fund the majority of the top one? Sad/frustrating. Still trying to be hopeful.
  3. Still under review. Trying to stay calm/hopeful!
  4. Eek! This feels almost as stressful as applying to nursing and NP school (...to GET all of these loans!).
  5. Do they really notify alphabetically?
  6. Just joining in on the discussion. Feeling very nervous! NP, D/I 138%, HPSA 19 (DSH). Received credit check on 4/19. Not sure what my chances are, but so eager to hear back. I assume they only send out notifications during regular business hours/not over the weekend?
  7. Hmmmm, I would definitely contact them ASAP! I received mine about 10 days ago...
  8. I saw this on the ETP Facebook group: "So we had a town hall meeting (class) and to clarify the BSN part. We get a BS, Nursing. Which means BS in nursing. According to our professor.. new york state sees BSN and BS, Nursing separately. Current ETPers correct me if I'm wrong!" So for clarification, would employers see the BSN and BS, Nursing differently? I was under the impression that it was a BSN the whole time. I came across this thread and those that responded seemed to think it was a non-issue: https://allnurses.com/nursing-educators-faculty/bsn-vs-bs-104537.html I just want to make sure I know which degree I'm getting and that it won't be an issue if I'd like to work part-time at a hospital that requires a BSN.
  9. i'm so sorry christymel. keep your head held high! you still have a chance! are you still waiting on any other programs?
  10. In for peds!!!!!! Was not expecting to hear until tomorrow!!!! So shocked and happy!
  11. Ah great, thank you!
  12. Hi all! Could someone supply a link to the current ETP Facebook page? I only see one for 2011... Thanks!
  13. The BSN is definitely a big pro for me. In addition, I am definitely drawn to Columbia's master's sub-specialties as well as the program's general flexibility (ability to work for a year between BSN and MSN).
  14. Yay! Columbia is definitely at the top of my list, but I'm waiting on a few more schools and financial aid information.
  15. Just FYI, I spoke to financial aid this morning and they said an email with more information should be going out soon -- they are hoping today! They are planning to have financial aid packages out by March 1st (and they said if not by then, definitely before deposits have to be put down). Congrats again!
