I wanted to start a thread for any perspective applicants for Columbia's Anesthesia program for 2020. I submitted my application last week and wanted to hear if anyone was called for interviews yet.
My stats: ADN 3.7 BSN 4.0 CCRN, CMC, CRNI, BLS/ACLS instructor, recently promoted to unit clinician. 2.5 years of Cardiac ICU in a large level 1 teaching hospital. (of note: went to school close to 10 years and have poor grades)
For those reapplying next year (or for any of those who have any words of advice): I am wanting to retake one of my science courses I did not so great in - is it better to take the course at the undergraduate level? Or graduate school level?
I took Some grad courses just to bolster my app. I think it shows that you put in time and it demonstrates that you can successfully matriculate in a grad courses.

Do you mind sharing who you took the grad courses through? Were they online by chance?
Barry University. They have an online course that they require people to take before getting admitted to their CRNA program. It’s like a pre-anesthesia grad chem course, and it’s online.
