Columbia CRNA 2020

Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

Hello all,

I wanted to start a thread for any perspective applicants for Columbia's Anesthesia program for 2020. I submitted my application last week and wanted to hear if anyone was called for interviews yet.

My stats: ADN 3.7 BSN 4.0 CCRN, CMC, CRNI, BLS/ACLS instructor, recently promoted to unit clinician. 2.5 years of Cardiac ICU in a large level 1 teaching hospital. (of note: went to school close to 10 years and have poor grades)

Good luck to everyone!

Today was the last day of interviews! Now the deliberation begins ? Best of luck to everyone! The wait is almost over ?

Oh yes!! That’s right! How do you guys feel about it?

How is it that some people have already received rejection letters and they only just finished interviewing today?

I imagine that they sent rejection letters to people who did not receive invitations to interview

Good luck to those who interviewed. For those who didn’t, do not lose faith. It is a very competitive program and a lot of people applied this year. Not sure how can I help, but if you guys have questions please do not hesitate. I would also look at other near by schools and/or reapply next year with a stronger resume. Try to go to the open house and ask anything you wish to know. They are very fair and honest. They try to make you as comfortable as possible.

The waiting is brutal, good luck to everyone who interviewed. Does anyone plan on commuting if they get in?

Man.. I thought I got a notification from this forum thinking that someone was gonna comment that they heard back about decisions! ?

But to answer your question, I live close to campus so I will definitely be commuting if I get in!

Sorry haha! I live over an hour away on Long Island, I plan on taking the train into the city or carpooling perhaps.

That’s a good idea. There were a lot people from Long Island during my interview day.. maybe you guys will get in and can carpool together!

Fingers crossed!
