I wanted to start a thread for any perspective applicants for Columbia's Anesthesia program for 2020. I submitted my application last week and wanted to hear if anyone was called for interviews yet.
My stats: ADN 3.7 BSN 4.0 CCRN, CMC, CRNI, BLS/ACLS instructor, recently promoted to unit clinician. 2.5 years of Cardiac ICU in a large level 1 teaching hospital. (of note: went to school close to 10 years and have poor grades)
I highly doubt they are still reviewing. I sent an email on what I can improve and I was told that i did not make the cut. I applied end of august. If you haven't gotten any interview email i would just move on and close the chapter. Denial will just waste time.

Oh I see. Don't let that discourage you. there are schools available to take required courses online at your own pace. if you finish it earlier, you don't have to wait until the semester is over to finalize the class. I did my orgo like that. Finished a little over half the time given.
I called and they said they weren’t going to go over applications until next year when interviews are over but now I’m wondering if I should just email. I would like to know what I can do to improve my application and start working on it as soon as possible.
Pre req meaning one of the classes? I thought you could still get accepted even if you still had to take a pre req like stats or orgo

I received an invitation last week for the Oct 29th. Gigcarter is having an interview on halloween. so i guess they opened few dates. I was wondering if anyone else from here is going on the 29th so maybe we can make friends and chat.
I’m going on the 29th as well! I was notified last week of my invitation, totally did not expect it coming.
