Columbia BSN/MSN ETP 2014

Published

I was surprised that there didn't seem to be a thread for this year's applicants to Columbia's ETP program. So I thought I would start one. The information session was today, but I wasn't able to go. :( I was hoping someone else went and would be able to post any admission statistics or tips for the personal statement they gave.

hi there! Good luck everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew when the typical time frame is to make a decision on accepting an admissions offer and how much the deposit usually is?

The deposit for Columbia is 500 or 600...I forget. But I asked during the info session and it was one of those two.

EVERY damn email is making me jump today. Geez...

Thanks eb86! I looked at the 2013 thread for this topic and saw that decisions had to be made by March 15th and the Visiting Day seemed to be 3-5 days before the 15.

I read somewhere that this year's Visiting Day is March 7th.

i believe it is usually 60 calendar days to accept/reject/deny the offer . . . i was accepted to another nursing program, and that's how much time they gave me to accept and give the deposit $

i hope that the day they give our admission statuses, the website/system doesn't get overloaded and crash b/s so many ppl would be interested in checking whether they got in or not hehe

if it comes down to being rejected from the program, is it customary/ok / proper etiquette to ask why we were rejected? and if so, who could we ask for that information?

I think every school is different. I was accepted to 2 others and had 3 weeks for one and 10 days for another.

I'm compulsively checking my email...
