College of Marin Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

This is my first time posting, but I have been on Allnurses for a couple of years now! I really appreciate this community, as you all helped me to get through my prereqs and pass the teas 6.

I have applied to College of Marin's Fall 2017 ADN program, and I'm reaching out to see who else is applying there as well.

In addition to College of Marin, I had to cast a wide net for schools--I also applied to about 9 other schools in and around the area.

I would love to set up a thread so we can keep in contact with each other....I think we start to hear back in April/May.

Good luck to everyone who is applying this round, and I hope you get into your top school!

We hear back this week about the lottery numbers and if we don't receive that means there's no chance on gettin in right?

Hi everyone, I am not quite sure how the lottery system works. So they give us all a number and the first 36 people get in? And the ones after 36 is waitlisted? Or we are given the lottery number to be randomized? Good luck to all!

I just got my lottery number in an e-mail and an invitation to take the TEAS. I'm #24 out of a total 166, but I'm declining because I've already accepted admission somewhere else. TEAS exam dates are May 11 and 13, and the top 85 in the lottery will be invited to take it on campus. Good luck everyone!

Have received anything yet? I have not :( maybe im not even on the list. Will they notify us if we didn't make it? I wonder..

Cool, when did you get the number? Will they notify if we didn't make it?

I received my number, from Angela, by email yesterday around 1:00.

I had texted my friend who also applied to check her email, and she hasn't received an email yet. I wonder if they are coming in segments.

Cool, I guess I'll just wait. I was wondering if I made it into their chancellor percentage formula because I was told by EVC in SJ that it was 68% (not sure how they got that info) but in Ohlone College was 75%. Don't know how that works.

Thanks though.

Do you mind sharing your number? I'm curious because you said this was not your top school and at #45 I think I need 9 ppl with numbers lower than mine to not accept!

I'm number 48, this is my NUMBER ONE choice school for me! Fingers crossed!!

Ahh! good luck then! Are you feeling optimistic about your number in the 40's? Also- Weird question- but your user name makes me want to ask- are you the "La" that I took Micro with?

if you log onto college of Marin's nursing website, they have their own chancellor formula spreadsheet. I'm pretty sure you need a 72% to qualify í ½í¸Š

Yes! Lol

I'm that "La"

I'm feeling as good as I can be...as far as I know, they first accept 36 students, then if the school gets a grant, they accept an additional 6 students.

Basically, it's not over until it's over!!
