College of the Mainland, Texas City

Has anyone had any experience attending Nursing school at College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas? I have looked at thier pass rates with the state. How is the program there? Any advice on application/ acceptence?

Hey everyone. I got my letter today but im on the alternate list but im still in good spirits. There is still 2 months before class starts and i know so much can happen between now and then but congratulations to everyone that has their acceptance letter i can honestly say that im excited for you all.To all the alternates , dont give up. your time will come.:).

@Jmars- From what I've heard in previous years and at several schools they take about 20-25 alternates. The good news about COM is that most wait listed people end up getting in.

@divine all is definitely not lost! I am at work biting my nails as my heard is pounding out of my chest...:heartbeat I just cant wait to get home and check the mail... But I dont get off until 5 :-( I will be looking for updates all day.

@Tx_Nurse awww i wish i could go check the mail for you:crying2: i understand your agony but good luck to you. @Jmars i was told that alternates can be accepted all the way up until the first day of school. but i havent confirmed that with anyone working in the nursing department.

Hey guys! Any of you that got accepted and applied to other colleges, don't forget to decline your spot if you were accepted or got waitlisted. You could be the angel to someone on the alternate list that is waiting for your spot!!! :)

:monkeydance: I GOT IN !!!!:w00t:I made my hubby go get the mail and my letter was in there stating my acceptance...I had 125 points! I will be accepting it right away, but will promptly pull out if I find out in July if I am accepted to my first choice.

Now if you will excuse me.....some of this:cheers: is in order

She said I should call her on the 21st & see exactly where I stand, congrats to everyone who got In! I'm not going to give up!
