College of the Mainland, Texas City

Has anyone had any experience attending Nursing school at College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas? I have looked at thier pass rates with the state. How is the program there? Any advice on application/ acceptence?

@ Rocket do you mean your first choice being San Jac or your plan to also accept San jac and then Drop out in the middle of the program if you get accepted to UTMB?

If I get into San Jac (should find out early to mid July) I will take it and turn down COM....Only because I already meet all required non nursing courses for San Jac. COM would need me to retake a few courses to meet their guidelines. As far as UTMB goes,I SHOULD find out from them before the fall semester actually starts... word is that interview invites should go out mid July. If I get into UTMB and I do not find out in time.....I will start and complete the fall semester to get a head start for UTMB. It really sucks that I have to do it that way, but unfortunately I don't have a choice.

Well... After speeding home and running to my mailbox... I found out.... THAT IM ACCEPTED!!!!! I am soooo happy right nowI just wanna dance!!! :dancgrp:

i didnt get accepted but i am on the Top Alternate list so ima go turn in all my things in first thing tomorrow morning =) hopefully i get in

Oh glad you are going to complete the fall semester..that would be a shame to waste a spot for someone else..not to mention it would suck for you to have to spend so much money on books and scrubs for nothing..I heard the books change so frequently its hard to sell them.

This is my first time posting, but Ive been reading the forum for awhile now. I just got my letter today in the mail. I was accepted(glory be to God)! Is there anyone here in the Katy area thats going to COM?

My friend and I are car pooling from Clear Lake area. I am in Pasadena skirts to cl lake. Let me know if anyone else is. We will all see at orientation also!
