Anyone applying to COC Nursing program Fall 2016?
Congrats to those who got in! I think the alternates also have a great shot, fingers crossed :)
I've been accepted to COC and LATTC, and am waiting to hear from a few other schools by end of May. I am thinking that COC is my top choice though. I am so excited!! Also nervous for what to expect next year. When do classes start? Where are clinicals? I look forward to meeting everyone May 20!

HELLO! Congratulations on getting accepted !!! What other schools did you apply to and is this your first time applying?? I sure hope you stick with COC though LOL! I'm sure all questions will get answered at orientation....see you then!!
Thank you. I applied to a few schools last year, and was accepted to Santa Barbara City College which I was really excited to go to, but I am waitlisted until 2019 (!!!!) so that wasn't really realistic. I am waiting to hear from LA Pierce, PCC, and GCC. I am definitely picking COC over LATTC, but I don't know if any of the other programs are supposed to be better than COC. Will look into it more if I get into them. See you at orientation!!

Im waiting for GCC too, I live 10min away and I know 3 people in the program currently. They say its great and are telling me that I should really look into GCC if accepted. An RN friend of mine told me to choose LA County school of nursing over all of them.. idk what my final decision wil be :0
I noticed that GCC has a high NCLEX pass rate, but other than that don't know too much about the program. I've heard people say the same about LA County, but I wasn't able to apply there. I figure I don't know if I will get into these other schools or not so I will wait to stress about that decision if it comes to that. At the very least, I know COC is a great program so I am really excited I got in!

I feel the same way :)
Hey guys! I know I am joining this thread a little late but I just joined the website. Anyways, I'm just saying hello because I m also accepted to COC's nursing program for Fall 16' and am SO EXCITED!
P.S For the alternates out there, I was chosen as an alternate at Moorpark College but then got in right away because people simply don't show up to orientation, choose another program, or screw up paper work somehow. I was not told I where I ranked on the alternate list because they won't tell you (at Moorpark at least) but the point is, don't lose hope! There is a good chance you will get in but I know first hand how frustrating/stressful it is to not know where you stand.
Anyways that's my bit. Congrats to everyone and I can't wait to meet you all on the 20th :)
