College Algebra Fall 2007

Is anyone else taking College Algebra this fall? I thought that if there were several of us we could start a sticky. I always notice a lot of stickies for science classes but not so many for math. Math is definitely a tough subject for me so it would be nice to have some support.

I start August 27. Anyone else???

I start this fall as well!!! I am so nervous, math is my worst subject!!!:uhoh3: Math is the big reason that held me back from trying to go back to school and become a nurse but I want to be a nurse sooo badly and I am tired of putting it off so now i am just going to study my behind off and get turtoring if I have to. I am so relieved that I am not the only one starting College Alegbra soon

I'm also taking College Algebra. My class starts on August 29. I'm OK at Math. It was my worst subject on the TEAS test but it's been awhile since I've had a math class.

I am taking College Algebra and Chem this Fall. I start on the 27th. I have not taken math since graduating back in 97. Math is usually one of my better subjects so we will see how I do.

Me too...but sheesh...I start earlier than ALL of you...lol I start on Monday..the 20th! And my math class is on my first day too! lol I was NEVER good in math, but I plan on using as much of the schools resources as I can!

We have to take 2 maths for my program. I took college algebra back in the spring and will begin my second math on Monday, 8/20. It's like an intro to Trig. I had a choice of that or statistics and this sounded more interesting. Like you all, I was scared of the math when I took algebra last spring. I'd been out of school for 28 years! (In HS I took the minimum math required and passed with the minimum grades possible!) I guess motivation (and maturity) is the secret to math success because this time round I did great, even enjoyed it! I'm actually looking forward to starting this new class tomorrow.

I took my algebra already (my only advice is do all the homework, check your answers and keep plugging at it until you get the answers right). That class took waaaaay more time than I thought it would.

As far as making a thread sticky, just PM one of the moderators (they're both listed at the bottom of the forum page), they'll take care of it for you.
