COC Fall 2014 accepted students!

Published

Hi Everyone!

I am starting this thread for anyone who has been accepted into the COC Fall 2014 Program.

My hope is that here, we can discuss everything from orientation to whatever! I have started working on folder 1 and folder 2. Everything in folder 2 must be received by the Nursing Department by 5/29.

See you all 4/25!!!! And congratulations! :nurse::up:

Congrats on getting accepted to LAPC Also!

Regarding Kaplan, i didnt get a receipt but if you log in to your account, it will show confirmation of recent payments. I printed that page to a pdf and emailed that.

ok that makes sense, thank you!

Congrats on all that were accepted! I'm just finishing my first semester of the nursing program at COC. 2 more clinical days and 2 finals are all that stand between me and my short cruise... Then CSUN for summer school. Only get a week off from school :/ haha.

This is awesome. What do u think about the RN program in COC ? I am new to COC ... That being said... I am still in the dark about the school and the program. Any feedback will be highly appreciated !! Thanks

The program is great! You will love first semester. It is a bit daunting at times. It is nursing school after all. The first semester is split into two short term 8 week classes. The first class won't involve clinical. The second class will. The first class you go to school everyday. Typically 6-7 hrs. You will love the first semester professors no matter who you have. You will especially love your pharm professor if it's the person I had. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions to the best of my ability.

When u say every day ... Do u mean 5 days a week Mon to Fri? What time do u normally start ?

Yeah I mean 5 days a week mon to Friday. Typically 6-7hrs. There is one short day that started at noon and was about 2 hrs. But the rest are long days.

Thanks for the heads up! I cant wait until we get our assigned section numbers! What clinical site were you assigned to for your first semester. I know there are several.
