COC Fall 2014 accepted students!

Hi Everyone!

I am starting this thread for anyone who has been accepted into the COC Fall 2014 Program.

My hope is that here, we can discuss everything from orientation to whatever! I have started working on folder 1 and folder 2. Everything in folder 2 must be received by the Nursing Department by 5/29.

I hope to have our schedules this week! Fall sections have been posted for all other departments except for nursing. So i am hoping since summer session starts tomorrow, we can expect schedules soon.

I asked the department when we can expect to receive the emails about the schedules. The response was..."most likely within the next week or two. If we do not hear from them by Mid-July, please check back with us." So thats good to know! I was thinking it was this week so now I can quit waiting for the information for a while. LOL! Enjoy your summer everyone!

As first semester nursing students I believe your schedule is finalized last, unfortunately. But expect to go everyday for the first half of the semester. I heard it through grapevine that some of the first semester students will have weekend clinicals... which start the second half of the semester.

Weekend clinicals would be cool too! Either way, I still feel SO grateful to just be accepted. I will be happy with any schedule!

Hey guys! Been a while since I posted. I called the nursing dept and was told that the schedules will be "coming out soon" and that the professors are "working on them." I also called the admission and records dept about registration times and was told that the times and dates will come out on july 1st so I am guessing that the schedules will be emailed to us around that time, too. I can't wait to find out! But at least knowing and talking to someone kinda eased the anxiety haha

Have you ordered your scrubs and patches? Im still shopping around for best price on scrubs. They all seem to be within $19-23 for the top and same for bottom.

Im petite and thank god the pants come in petite sizes so i dont have to go get them hemmed! Woo hoo! So i will go somewhere local this weekend and try them on for size.
