I promised I'd come back and give you guys yet another update. And while I still don't know why Nurse Nasty got fired, if I find that out I'll let you know. My girlfriend is now my fiancee. She said yes. I proposed last night. She almost threw a monkey wrench in my plan by leaving early to try and surprise me. But her best friend tipped me off. She pulled up at my house around 2am and I met her in the driveway (where I'd been standing freezing to death for half an hour) with 'Teri will you marry me?' blinking in Christmas lights on the roof (not as easy task thank it took two hours to do in the Lexington cold Thank God for good friends to help out). It didn't really register to her until she got out on the car and I got down on one knee in the driveway. But there were happy tears involved and she said yes which is the most important part. I couldn't be happier. Now I have the rest of the weekend with her before she leaves and I have to go back to work.

congrats, and you do know, you "owe" that best friend, right? lololol

Okay one last update for this thread and then it should be all done. Thank you all for the congrats and well wishes.

To whoever made the comment that I owe my fiancee's best friend, you're right and she's made it very clear that next time I'm in town she will be collecting her free dinner. I had a very wonderful weekend with my fiancee and can't wait to see her again already. We're almost 14 weeks pregnant now and locking down our names (It's Nash Cooper, or Cooper Nash for a boy and Lilliana Grace for a little girl) and we've decided that we're going to go a head and find out what we're having next month.

Now onto the real dirt I went back to work last night and found out why Nurse Nasty was fired and I'm now certain that my being male had something to do with her hatred of me. A female patient came into the ER to be treated for a broken wrist due to a fall, Nurse Nasty then proceeded to make accusing remarks against the patients boyfriend. Kicker is the patient's boyfriend was the nephew of one our doctors, and said doctor and his nephew didn't take too kindly to her remarks. So being as she already had my complaint on file the second complaint was enough to get her fired on the spot. I really feel sorry for the next hospital that takes her on, now a part of me doesn't wonder if she already had a history of this type of behavior on the job. However it is no longer my problem and my coworkers have now seemed to make it a running joke. At least with our sick senses of humor we can laugh about it. Once again Thank you all.
