CNA's/PCT's how much do you make?

Published

I have a couple interviews for PCT positions, but I have no idea what to expect as a salary. I am a student nurse in NE FL. Please tell me where you live, your experience, and how much you make. I know I will probably have to take a pay cut, but to be doing what I am going to school for will be worth it, I think. Thanks for you help!

I make 12.80 base, 1.56 an hour for for eve shift and 1.75 on top of that for weekends. I have been a can for 3 years and work in ltc. I'm also per diem

and I don't think they even sell houses less than $400k :uhoh3:

Oh yes they do, but you would have to back into it wearing a bullet proof vest caring a 9mm LOL....I hear Watts California is lovely this time of year...

Here on long island, ny I'm making 16.29/hr no experience with benefits and they pay for my college. Sad to see all the other states making so much less, hope something changes.

Just finished my CNA program 7/31/12 and I will be taking my American Red Cross test tomorrow morning!

I have been offered a full time position working PMs in an Orthopedic Care Unit.

$12/hr + Benefits

If you compare the salaries/experience on the first page with the salary/experience on the last page, it's almost not even right. Being a CNA must have been hard in '04, '05.

NY CNA LTC no experience first few months hired 13.93

Specializes in Critical Care, Med-Surg, Psych, Geri, LTC, Tele,.

California CNA. Became certified less rgan a year ago. 1st FT CNA job: $10/hr. Next on call CNA job: $9/hr to start. 3rd on call job: $11.70/hr.

These low rates are why I am starting LVN school this month.

Hi Jval: what area of Cali are you in? I'm in Nor cal and haven't been able to start at that rate. Is this an LTC or acute care hospital?

Utah LTC $10/hr. Just got in at the hospital in the ICU and I'm starting at $12/hr with benefits and tuition reduction. $13/hr for nights $14/hr for weekend nights... not too shabby when you're a student
