  1. I know some people who have worked at the Life Center of America and it wasn't good.
  2. I'm having horrible burn out as well. I think a lot of it has to do with being short staffed. I'm always stressed because I'm in a hurry.
  3. I just wanted to say hang in there. You will get better as time goes by.
  4. You need to report this to your nurse and write out an incident report.
  5. No I would recommend not bringing your kid to the interview.
  6. I had a friend of mine work with this company and said the same thing.
  7. I'm a nac and have to say that its crazy that you can't ask the aides to do anything. Imo that is what im there for is to help the nurse. What happens in an emergancy and you have to take charge?
  8. I used to joke at the last place I worked about giving the staff ativan. It makes sense to me because they were afraid to overmedicate the patient.
  9. I'm so burned out being a nac in ltc myself. One of my residents last night wanted me to hold her hand and I had to tell her I was too busy. It made me sick to have to do that. I became a nac to help people. There is just too muchto do and not enough time.
  10. I work for a facility. Imo I think that they should call me first to make sure i can work instead of just putting me on tbe schedule.
  11. I work at a job as a nursing assistant. Anyway they put me on their schedule without asking me what I can work. They also change the schedule without telling me. Every other per diem job has always called me to ask if I can work that shift and what would work for me.
  12. I make 12.80 base, 1.56 an hour for for eve shift and 1.75 on top of that for weekends. I have been a can for 3 years and work in ltc. I'm also per diem
  13. Having no ac in patient rooms, no gloves in resident rooms, fellow coworkers asking to help with lifts and their resident is not ready, coworkers going on breaks every five minutes and I have to take care of their residents.
