CNA's/PCT's how much do you make?

I just got a job. $9.25/hr. and it's part time NOC and on call. Needless to say I'm still job searching. I took it because it was the first call I received for an interview in over a month.

In So Cal

Hospital $9.95 Night diff about $1.50-$2.00 part time two, 12-hr shifts per week or more if you can pick up shifts

Also if you dont need benefits and can prove you got insurance they add another $50 onto every check

new to area (dallas tx) moved from fl makin 15.67 includes base pay,3rd shift diff,prn diff,(weekend 2.00 more 17.67) worked in hospital as clinical tech for 8 mos been cna since 1998 but been in and out of the field.would like to know how much pct make in tx. i live closer to frisco/plano/mckinney tx area.

Not sure about that neck of the woods..but in the ER at the county hospital in the Texas Medical Center the starting pay is $14+

In Austin, TX: $10.75/hr with no experience. Extra $1.30 for nights. 36 hrs/week, 12 hr shifts. Tuition reimbursement after 6 months of employment. Benefits are a bit expensive to me. I can buy a plan online for my husband and I for about half the price with similar benefits. Go to esurance.com to look at plans before you decide on taking your employer's benefits package.

Just got a job at a hospital here in Austin, TX. No experience. Was offered $10.10 per hour for full-time, 12hr shifts, days. They do pay more for nights and weekends, but I have't found out how much yet (I think if you work weekend nights you'll make about $5 more per hour). They also have plenty of overtime available, and if you volunteer to come in on less than 24hrs notice they pay you $2 more per hour on top of your time and a half for overtime. So if you work 4 shifts per week instead of three, you can virtually double your salary for the week with just a little strategic planning!

They do offer full benefits, tuition reimbursement, and I was told at my interview that I'm basically guaranteed an RN job when I graduate if I work for them through nursing school. Pretty great to have my tuition paid and have a job waiting for me when I graduate! (I'm sure I'll have to work for them for at least a year or two as an RN if they're paying my tuition, but we haven't gotten that far in the conversation yet).

After working in NYC for years, this TX salary was a bit of a shocker. But cost of living here is much lower too!

OMG!!! I am surprised at the low pay rates in other states....!! I've been a CNA for merly 4yrs. in California and I make $22.05 plus 25% per diem differential, which makes it what??? Almost $27!!! Big difference....

Too bad the cost of living is high and 1/2 OF your check goes to bills and rent. Dang California lower your cost...lol (insider)
