Hi I just wanted to post quickly. After talking to a few CNA's today about their relationships with other RNs. I just wanted to say that CNA/PCT/UAP are some of the hardest working people in healthcare. I don't know if you all get the regonition you deserve. But you have it hard and you keep up with your pts and you treat them well. :redbeathe In nursing school our whole first semester was working at a LTC and working as a CNA and this was one of the hardest jobs of my life. Day one I went home and said I was going to quit. That it was not humanly possible for one person to responsible for so much stuff. As new students we had it easy compared to the CNA's that worked their butts off there. We had one pt to take care all day each And the CNA on the floor had at least 20. Of course as the year went along we got more patients. But I never was able to understand how the CNA on the floor got it all down so well. They were a pleasure to work with and were even willing to squeeze in teaching us naive little nurses students how to get stuff done in the real world. I am very thankful for the experience looking back now. So I just wanted to say thanks for the help and the motivation. You all are great!

Thanks a lot. When you have days like I had yesterday, (state was there, shortstaffed so we had 24 residents each, sick to my stomach, 23 cases of tubefeed poop, and badly bruised and scratched by a resident) and all the nurse could say to us at the end of the shift was "You guys better hope you don't get in trouble for getting out 15 minutes late", reading something like this is really nice, to say the least.

Thank you for the appreciation. I think the healthcare field would be a much better place if we all worked together as a team, not "who's better than who" (CNA vs.LPN, LPN vs.RN, ADN vs BSN & etc). But that's just my
