I know of a woman, who is a CNA at a nursing home.
She has dated two known drug addicts.
The first one has a long criminal history.
The second one's drug dealer is being sentenced this week.
I really fear for the patients safety as she is around hard drugs. Im not talking about petty marijuana I am talking about FELONY charges!
I have called the elderly abuse hotline, and they told me to call the public health, which I did and filed a complaint.
I have let the place know anon through mail.
I have also placed a complaint to the Department of Professional regulation which is like the IL board of nursing.
Did I do the right things?
I hope you enjoy your narrow little world view. You need to learn to mind your own business. Unless you are prepared to vet everyone who comes into contact with you, you just don't know what is going on in their personal lives, and quite frankly it is NOT any of your business.
I believe in Karma, and she tends to bite people in the butt. Be prepared, the fall from such lofty heights can be devastating.
If saying dopeheads don't belong in nursing makes me judgemental, I'm fine with that. In fact, I'll wear a big pink badge proclaiming myself such. Actually, I think dopeheads don't belong in any workplace.
I have no respect for people who let substances run their lives. Sorry, not sorry.
Drug users do not belong in nursing. Period. Go away and let those of us who aren't dopeheads do the care.
Do you or do you not know for a fact that this woman you "know of" is using? Unless and until you do, you are passing judgement on someone without the facts. You can't do anything about it.
You sound like a bitter and vindictive woman here. Me thinks there is a personal side to this story.
She's still doing the same stuff, making our company look bad. If she needs help, then so be it, get into drug counseling or stay away from that stuff if you are in a profession that makes decisions for other people.
Sorry for being 'vindictive'
People need to grow up, and be a professional.

Right off the top of my head I would say no, but upon thinking about it more, I can see how since you also know or know about the felonious drug dealers, it would be reasonable for any random person you don't know to report you for the same reasons.
If any of those places you reported the CNA to required your name, that's good, too. Just in case your evidence doesn't hold up well with the CNA you know of, it will be considered if you again wish to report someone for similar reasons.
Right, Im talking about hard drugs, like methamphetamine and cocaine.
Again, do you KNOW that she is using or do you just know that she's dating? The only crime that I'm getting from your posts is false reporting and possibly libel. I'm more afraid of your judgmental paranoia than I am of a nurse's dating habits.
As you so elegantly put it, the nurse has already been p***-tested without any action being taken. So, I say you'd best find either another hobby or another job. But be careful, your new job might involve working with a nurse who is dating someone who jaywalks.
You guys are weird as hell here. I was always taught that drugs are bad. But hey if you guys want to be around all of that in your spare time, and put people at risk, that's your choice.
Do you not know that little kids can be damaged by being around hard drugs, adults can be too...
The only thing I did was raise suspicion for a drug test to be done. That merely is it. In my state, to do a drug test, then that is the only thing needed.
You all act like she is innocent.
Im sure if I were around convicted felons, around second hand drugs, drug paraphernalia, I would have someone jump on me

Bad things happen in this profession, ER, hospitals, nursing homes, people die, need medicine, etc. It is a trauma related field, and I sure as hell don't want someone coming from a crack house breathing in second hand **** while people are needing relying on assistance.
