I'm almost 32 and just about finished my first quarter back. I will have 9 more pre reqs to take before I can apply for the program. I would love to chat with others and cheer each other on along the way. OH, and does anyone else think English 101 is kinda hard?! And why the hell does it have to be one of the 4 classes that count at my school? I'm going crazy!
I'm 35, married with 3 kids. I'm taking A&P1 this semester and it's my last pre-req before submitting my application. There is roughly a 2.5 year waiting list where I am, so I have 2 co-reqs to keep me busy while I wait. I'm taking the HESI next week. I've applied to volunteer at a local hospital, maybe get my foot in the door for the future.
I was an honor student in high school, but when I got to college the first time around, I was a lousy student and just didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. But now, that I'm old :) and have more responsibility, I feel like I'm a better student. And I have less time to fool around, I'm not getting any younger for heavens sake!
Hi, my name is Karen! I'm 37 and starting classes (pre-reqs) on Monday. I plan on taking the TEAS in December. God willing, I'm tracking towards a Fall 2014 start in the ASN program.
This is the most inspiring thread I've read so far. It just goes to show that it's never too late to pursue your dreams. Good luck and best wishes!

I am 35 and finishing pre-reqs for a BSN program. I have been persuing a nursing degree for YEARS!!! I have always needed to work full time and finished pre-reqs for the local community college three years ago, but was denied entry twice! New plan is to get straight A's in my pre-req's to get into the BSN program in spring 2014...Age 35 is my year, I can feel it!!!!
I have four science prereqs left and I'm so excited. I should be starting my nursing classes next fall but the good thing is that I've finished all the other classes that will be required for the nursing program so I just have to take only nursing courses.I am 37, currently get divorced and have one child. I started back to school in August to finish my prereqs and will hopefully be accepted for Fall 2014. It's been a rough road but am glad to be on this path.
Im 33, live in California and I loooooooove school at this age. I never would have made it through pre-nursing classes back when I first went off to a university after highschool in 1998. My life outlook is much more established now. lol. For my future nursing school I made it past round one of getting accepted. Last week I submitted my supporting documents package and now Im just waiting until 10/30 when we get our ranks. Good luck to all!
I'm 35 and started my first semester of pre-nursing about a month and a half ago, I'm loving it, it's so much fun.
Of course, the big class this semester is A&P 1, but I'm happy to say that I'm at a 98% overall, after the first exam and practical. I'm the smart guy to the rest of the class, but I keep telling them it's not from being smart, it's from studying all of the time. But it's till nice after being out of school for so long.

I am 34 with 5 kiddos ages 6-15 and in my 4th semester. I've been going part time so I could concentrate on my pointed classes. I currently have a 4.0 and am currently taking Microbiology and my required college math. I turned in my app last month and letters are supposed to start going out on September 30th.... Trying hard not to think about it too much before I go insane lol.
