Clear bowel movement / stool

In a posting with no additional activity since 2009, I found descriptions similar to what my wife is experiencing JUST TODAY. So, since that post was "unresolved" (not concluded in a meaningful way), I figured it might be worthwhile to revive it.

Here is the original post:

My wife's symptoms are different in that she initially had severe pains after starting back to a part-time job. This is a retail job, on her feet for between 4 and 1/2 to 6 and 1/2 hours, three or four non-consecutive days a week.

Her daily diet is "sucky" to say the best, although she is probably NOT dehydrated, she mostly eats processed foods and drinks cola in moderation when thirsty.

She has had a gastric bypass and is not following the dietary restrictions as prescribed.

She has had a bleeding ulcers, twice, which nearly ended her life (literally, one ulcer developed directly over the reconnection of the gastric bypass surgery, and a surgeon said if she had waited two more hours before coming to the ER, she would not be here!)

The pains began in early September, after she graduated from college with honors.

The intensity of the pain has gradually increased since that time.

('WOW! I thought is was associated with the part-time job, but she just informed me otherwise... Husband in the dark.')

There seems to be some bloating in the lower abdomen, and into her female parts.

However, she has had a complete Hysterectomy many years ago after a diagnosis of Ovarian cancer.

My wife's instance of Clear Stool (totally clear, slightly oil like - to float on the surface before flushing, with no smell) happened today AFTER having a normal bowel movement earlier in the day.

Question:

Does anyone have further information on what this might be? (..or what causes it?)

We do have medical coverage, but generally use a Urgent Care facility when needed. The local franchise of one of these Urgent Care is a full-service establishment and does it all.

My wife feels like she has a very mild fever. She came home from her part-time job early after responding to nature's call (potty) 4 times in 2 hours.

We will appreciate any input on this topic. Thank you all for your dedication and years of experience.

Unfortunately, this is not a medical advice website, but a forum for nurses to discuss topics. We are not allowed to give medical advice. Perhaps your wife could visit the Urgent Care Facility.

Your wife needs to seek medical attention immediately. We are unable to provide medical advice.

I believe you will find this thread closed down shortly, as members are not permitted (by the Terms of Service of this site) to ask for or offer medical advice.

That said, I do believe you should take your wife to seek medical care now.

While we care about your wife and what is happening, we cannot, per Terms of Service, provide the medical advice she requires. Please have her see a Healthcare Provider.

We hope things resolve.
