Hi,
I have been accepted at Ga Baptist (Mercer) and am waiting to hear from Clayton State University. Any thoughts on which school would prepare me better? Ga Baptist will take 6 semesters, Clayton only 4 (I am a 2nd degree student), and tuition is less at Clayton, but do Ga Baptist grads really get better jobs right after graduation as they claim? Thanks
I just got into the BGCN and I am also very excited. I applied to clayton state, but then dropped that idea because I did not like their application process. Mercer was so helpful. Mercer's counselor sent me very helpful emails and helped me through the process. I got in with a 3.38 GPA and an 80 on the NET. I also told them about my volunteer experience at Grady, which I heard they liked. I am waiting on GSU and FSU. Mercer is a great school, but very expensive.
Thank you all for your support!! Congrats mfisher!!! I went to the school and Celta told me to send everything in and just send my updated trans at the end of the sememster. She did her best to calm me down. I will keep you guys informed. What date did they give you to reply to your acceptance?
Hi csweetooth,
Did you get your NET scoers back yet? How did you do? I got a 100 on the math and a 70 on the reading. Argh! There just wasn't enough time to think critically and I think that is what hurt me there. I hope you did well. Let me know how you did if you care to share. Good luck with the rest of your application process.
Don't worry you still will get in!! I got an 97 on the math and a 76 on the english, 87 total. I will keep that. It's too much stress!! I know which one I got wrong to. That kills me!! I'm taking 6 classes this semester trying to get in for the fall. If I don't get in I'm going to scream!! I hope we get in together. Keep me posted!!

Mercer takes a holistic review at your application. That is everything from the overall gpa, the transfer gpa, the science gpa, the NET, your essay, community involvement, whether or not you attended open house. I think that they focus more on the transfer gpa and science gpa so I wouldn't worry too much about one semester where you had a hard time. I think that the most important thing is to let them see why you want to attend Mercer. I went to the open house and I was very impressed with the students and staff. Also, the admissions counselor are very helpful. They will walk you through the whole process. Good luck.
