Hi,
I have been accepted at Ga Baptist (Mercer) and am waiting to hear from Clayton State University. Any thoughts on which school would prepare me better? Ga Baptist will take 6 semesters, Clayton only 4 (I am a 2nd degree student), and tuition is less at Clayton, but do Ga Baptist grads really get better jobs right after graduation as they claim? Thanks
i was the opposite...80 on net, 3.0 gpa....i didnt study for the net and my grades were okay due to having so many jobs during school and a family to take care of....Im thinking my essay helped alot too....you only have to score a 69 on the net...they say its really black n white just score the national average which is a 69....
Awesome, thanks for the tip. I was checking all the local hospitals and schools and CPR classes (BLS for Healthcare Providers) are a bit hard to come by. I'll check the American Heart Association's website and see if I can get any better luck with them. I'm thinking I might talk my husband into getting certified too - it's just good knowledge to have regardless of career path. You never know when stuff like that comes in handy! Thanks again! Oh - and totally NOT looking forward to my arm being sore! Thanks for the heads up on that one! LOL.
Thank you guys!! I'm dropping off my application tomorrow morning. My application won't be complete until I take my NET on april 18th. Ok I have a question. My 1st degree i have a 3.55 but my prereq gpa is not so hot. My grades went down last semester after loosing a child, but there are back up this semester. I was going to hold off from submitting my transcript from my prereq school until the end of this semester. I wanted them to see my improved gpa. Is that smart? Do you think they will take into account my first degree gpa and my recommandation from one of my current teachers comfirming that I'm doing well in my class? I really want the best shot in getting in. This is my number 1 school.
i do know nursing school really looks at the sciences the most and then math...are those the classes ur talkin bout? the net is not hard...its easier than the teas test..i know mercer takes grades from classes that were retaken i think you might wanna call..actually you should talk to them about everything the advisor are super swt...i think their are 2 ones lauren and the other is rene not positive but explain to them your situation...good luck

Congrats to you too! Nice meeting you as well! My name is Amanda. Study group sounds great. The entire process has been stressful, but at least we're down to the home stretch. I just want to get started now! Have you heard anything about orientation? I'm at the beginning of the admissions process - I JUST sent in my reservation fee and financial aid paperwork, so this week I'll be busy trying to figure out the CPR and health shots. Fun, fun, fun. I'll keep you posted on my progress - good luck with the paperwork, etc!
Take care,
Amanda
