Ok, I am planning on taking A&P and English comp1 this semester. I have three semesters (spring '13, summer '13 and fall '13) until I am applying for the nursing program. Pre-reqs for the program are A&P, A&P2, microbiology and math for nurses. Here is my plan,
Spring A&P, English
Summer A&P2
Fall math for nurses and microbio
Then I would take electives spring 2014 and apply for the fall program.
Should I take more classes per semester for any reason??
I have 12 credit hours of electives already.

I'm an older student, but I felt safest pairing my sciences with only one other class. That way, I could dedicate the time I needed to studying. I took 7 credit hours per semester during my science semesters, maintained my 4.0, and am applying for my program next month. Take only what you're comfortable with and/or what you need for financial aid, if that is a concern. Your plan looks entirely workable to me, but everybody's different.

I think your plan sounds great! I am 20 and this is my first degree (almost done pre reqs at community college & hopefully starting the BSN in the fall). I always stay full time so I can make Dean's List but I wouldn't be full time if it weren't for that. Take your time with your classes & aim for A's!

I would go with the plan you have.
Thanks everyone!
I didn't know If I should add in an easy elective so it would raise my GPA or if that was a waste. I
Appreciate the feed backs, thanks!

Whether you add in an elective really depends on how your school calculates GPA. Do they go by overall cumulative of every class you take no matter what, or is acceptance based off the GPA of just the actual required pre-reqs?
I think your schedule looks fine. If I had the option I'd likely take a smaller load too, but have stuck with 16-19 credit hours per semester to get in all of my pre-reqs so I can make the application deadline next semester for fall admission. I did 16 credits and working a full-time this past semester, I'm doing 19 credits for spring semester, but won't be working, only part-time volunteer. Do whatever works for you to make sure you maintain as many A's as possible. Good luck!

I think your schedule looks pretty good. I just finished my first semester, with all A's if I can take a minute to toot my own horn...:)
I took Anatomy and Physiology 1 (lab and lecture) and chemistry. With a full-time job it was totally enough for me (I have been out of school for almost 14 years). I am adding an additional class next semester, hopefully it works out.
Good luck with all of your pre-req's!!!
