Class of 2006

Nursing Students General Students

Published

Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

the support part sucks a55

Yeah, I have some friends who do tech support for a company that has a contract with Gateway (I think they're called ServiceZone). They get paid pretty well, but they put up with a lot of crap for it! :\

Yeah like I said I make about 40k which is pretty decent. Its just horrible ungratifying work

Glad you're feeling better about Physio, Dublin. I'm glad it's not a separate class at my school...it's combined w/ Anatomy. If I had to take it alone, I would probably go nuts!

Well AmyLiz, I already took the combo A & P, and the Physio was HORRIBLE. That's why I was so stressed out. Totally different teaching methods. We'll see....:chair: I'm only taking it because it will get me extra points to get accepted in the program!

Yipes. I can only imagine. You totally have my sympathies.

I hope it gets you accepted soon! :)

^bumpity bump..

How are classes going for you 06'ers?

I'm completely swamped.... We had a long weekend at the lake, and I took my textbooks along thinking I'd get some studying done. Of course I didn't... but I did have lots of fun swimming and playing outside with my boys. :)

Chem is tonight, so I won't be getting anything done other than that (will be away from home from 4 to 11pm)... the rest of the week I've really got to bust my hump and catch up on these online courses.

How was your comm class, Agent?

It was cool, the teacher is a PHD ex-missionary to Africa.. pretty wild.

I read your blog and posted a few comments. Good luck in chem..

Specializes in Medical/Surgical.

Starting A&P tommorrow. :uhoh3: I am applying to schools for my BSN and will be done either in Fall of 05 (accelerated) or Spring of 06. I'm 25 and not married/no kids. Maybe one day :) Can't wait to get started with a nursing program.

Good luck to everyone! We will get there we just have to hang in there and enjoy the ride as much as possible!

Wow! I'm sure he/she must have some fabulous stories to tell. :)

Thanks for reading/commenting in my blog... it's supposed to notify me every time someone posts a comment, but it's a little buggy and doesn't always.

Good luck Nursepru! I'm guessing since you're applying accelerated that you already have a degree? What's it in?

I haven't started classes yet, we start Sept. 15th, so I'm doing fine! ;)

I've got the admission exam this friday & have been practicing math, since that's my toughest subject. I'm not too worried about it though. I'll probably pick up my books while I'm at it. My A&P books are the same, so I'll only have to buy stuff for the NA Training course. Should be around $90 for everything. Not too bad.

Went up to visit my dad & step-mother up in Michigan this weekend with my husband & daughter. Had a good time - weather was fantastic. Walked along Lake Michigan & got to see the Soo Locks, which I'd never seen before. Before we left, my step-mom, who's an MA, gave me a Littmann Master Classic II stethescope that she had been given by a drug rep about 5 years ago & never used! I was thrilled! :D

Yeah I hope to have that nurse diary site done sometime, it may take a lil while, but then we can all have free blogs!

I looked at the blog Manna, but I don't get how it works! is it an on-line diary??

Anywho, class is going fine, I will be applying for the Nursing program this week, though I don't expect to get in until next fall because of my points.

I would love to see Michigan amyliz, it sounds beautiful.

Hey agent, what a cool teacher. I LOVE to hear missionary stories. Nice to hear from everyone! Heather
