Nursing Students General Students

Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

Thanks for the nice response dublin ;)

I just took my firs A&P I exam and I knocked that sucker out! :roll

My other classe (Computer App. and Sociology) are a cake walk for me while on the other hand I am not fairing to well in Collge Algebra. Is anyone else having trouble in College Algebra?

Good going on the A&P exam! :)

I don't have to take algebra, thankfully. I took College Algebra II & Trig when I got my first degree & that was enough for me.

Thanks!:D Wow I couldn't imagine going that far into math. What was your first degree in?

Math sucks. I've taken College Algebra, Statistics, and Pre-calc

I started A & P 2 on Wed. night. I like my professor he seems like he's going to be challenging...which I love. I thought I was going to have to buy a new A &P 2 textbook (they changed the book last semester)...but I don't think I'm going too. Our first chapter to study will be on Blood. I've read it already and made notes...it's very interesting.

I cant wait to take A&P in the spring. There is no 1&2 at my school, its one intensive course.

They changed books for A&P I this fall, but are keeping the old edition for A&P II & III this fall & A&P III this winter. Thank goodness. I really didn't want to have to shell out $160 more bucks for another A&P book. Unfortunately for those folks who are destined to repeat A&P I this fall, they've got to buy the new book. You can be sure the rest of us will be even more motivated to not drop the class or fail! (Heck, I set my sights on continuing the 4.0 gpa, myself)

A&P is a really interesting class. Hard as heck, but interesting. This quarter we're learning the muscular system, the nervous system, the endocrine system, reproductive system and the sensory organs.

Since I took the intensive A & P course a year ago, the advanced Physio so far is pretty much review. It is soooo nice not to feel totally overwhelmed and lost! I'm sure, it'll get harder later, but I just wish there was a test coming up sooner, so I can see how he tests! I know that sounds a little twisted, but I always am a little releaved after the first exam, so I know how better to study! So far, I'm doing the same thing from last semester.

This is the LAST class I can take to count towards entry points....so I feel like I'm counting down to start in the Fall (next fall that is)!

I just found a 7 week class tho, that I might add. It's math for meds calculations. I think that would be very helpful, don't you? I just don't know if I should take it now or next semester??? hmmmmm . Any ops? Heather

Another 2006-er here!

Just starting out -- trying to get into A/P 1 -- on waiting list. All four sections of it are overloaded with waits in each. Will hear later this week if I need any other pre-req's based on my prior transcripts.

So happy I found you all.

Welcome Larry! You might want to check out the guys club too!

Look up at Agent, to check it out. Good luck getting in. It's been tough getting Physiology, it took me 2 semesters to get in, and then I get a bad time slot, but oh well, I'm just thankful to be in!

Many thanks, Dub!

Signed to the guys section earlier.

And yes count your blessings that you got in A/P. I'm doing all I possibly can to see to it that this kinda thing doesn't happen to me again. I'll be one of the first applying from now on -- even if I've gotta sleep in the car / parking lot the night before registration opens!
