Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Pacesetter BSN Spring 2025

Hi, I am a pre-nursing student aspiring to start my nursing journey at UTHSC Pacesetter program in Spring 2025. I am starting this thread to connect with individuals on the same path. I will complete my prerequisites by August 2024 and plan to take HESI the same month. I plan to catch the deadline of September 1, 2024, for Spring 2025 admission. I am nervous since if I don't get admitted this time, I will be wasting more than 6 months. I really hope I get this.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you last cycle 😞 hopefully it works out this cycle for all of us!!

The website still says that they do evaluations apparently, so hopefully we get one

Hi, do you mind sharing your stats since you were accepted at the last cycle?

Hey, yes, at the time of my application, both my science GPA and overall were 3.6ish, and my TEAS was 95%.  However, since then I have repeated some science courses, and it should be a little higher this time around depending on whether they average the repeated courses or replace the grade. Hope this helps.

Those are fantastic stats! I sure believe you will be in this time also!

nothing yet 😞 I was reading the forum from last year and they started getting emails after the 5th of october so hopefully we'll hear something by then cause my anxiety driving me crazy LOL

which other schools have you applied to?

I have a plied to TWU, PVAMU, San Jac , and Cizik.

Hi everyone! What does your status say in the portal? Mine says Application Received. I'm wondering if that changes while they're reviewing? This wait is so nerve wracking.

MIne is the same ' application received'. I hope we hear something before the end of this week.
