Hi, I am a pre-nursing student aspiring to start my nursing journey at UTHSC Pacesetter program in Spring 2025. I am starting this thread to connect with individuals on the same path. I will complete my prerequisites by August 2024 and plan to take HESI the same month. I plan to catch the deadline of September 1, 2024, for Spring 2025 admission. I am nervous since if I don't get admitted this time, I will be wasting more than 6 months. I really hope I get this.

 

Does everyone receive the finger printing email regardless of acceptance?

No they have to submit the names to the board of those accepted for background checks to be initiated

Hi, did you do the background check or not? I applied for Spring 2025 and got email to do background check(fingerprint).

I have not, I called the company and they said there's no expiration date on the invitation so I was just going to wait until I (hopefully) receive an acceptance letter.

Really! I thought it is a most so I scheduled mine for tomorrow. I checked my Uthealth account but my application shows only received. So, it means there is still a chance of getting denial notice? 😐

That could be possible, I'm just not sure why they would ask for fingerprint background checks just to deny acceptance. But who knows, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure they send out the IdentoGo as a formality for everyone regardless of acceptance.

That is weird cuz even when they send the accept a offer, the student has to accept it and after that they continue with the background and rest of the process

I started losing hope. I have 3.97 GPA cumulative and Science 3.94 

With HESI 91.4. I started becoming nervous. Any other suggestions for good uni. I was thinking about UST, it is very expensive

They said the tuition is 70.000 for the 12 months. That is incredible

Anyone applied with less than 60 credits? 

I applied with 50 credits. They said it is OK but IDK

I heard UTMB and UH are pretty good but your stats are so good, hold out hope !
