Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Pacesetter BSN Spring 2025

Hi, I am a pre-nursing student aspiring to start my nursing journey at UTHSC Pacesetter program in Spring 2025. I am starting this thread to connect with individuals on the same path. I will complete my prerequisites by August 2024 and plan to take HESI the same month. I plan to catch the deadline of September 1, 2024, for Spring 2025 admission. I am nervous since if I don't get admitted this time, I will be wasting more than 6 months. I really hope I get this.

I guess they are trying to do like other nursing schools, the eligibility letter just states how you meet the requirements to potentially be accepted.

But what did the email say? 

Did it say you have been accepted or you have met the requirements?

It just says eligible, thought it was an acceptance. But to the person that actually got accepted can you please share some info.

so does that mean the people who haven't gotten an email are not eligible ?

This is really all confusing to me, I'm honestly shocked with how unorganized they are.

I agree. Oh well, just guess we have to wait and see what they say. Praying we know by next week or at least by the end of October.

Okay so I got some information from an old classmate that was accepted into the program last year, she said that acceptance emails are sent out by how early you sent in your application/alphabetical order... so if you sent in your application early you will get notified early, same for if your last name is in the beginning of the alphabet. She also said, background checks "finger prints" are only ask to be done by those who got accepted. 

I didn't receive any acceptance letter but only received fingerprint email. Really, this is so confusing. But I went and completed my background check. I am getting so nervous now.

how do you know it was a request from UT Health? did it say cizik anywhere on there? I got a bg check request but I don't know if it's from cizik or adifferent school

I applied to Cizik only because for all other school application was closed for Spring 2025.

I've applied for the Spring 2025 program and it's currently the only nursing application I have open. I received an email Thursday morning from IdentiGO about the background check registration... Do we think this means I'm going to be accepted? I haven't heard anything from Cizik yet though. Could it be a mistake? Do I go ahead and schedule my appointment or wait until I hear if I'm accepted or not?
