Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Pacesetter BSN Spring 2025

Hi, I am a pre-nursing student aspiring to start my nursing journey at UTHSC Pacesetter program in Spring 2025. I am starting this thread to connect with individuals on the same path. I will complete my prerequisites by August 2024 and plan to take HESI the same month. I plan to catch the deadline of September 1, 2024, for Spring 2025 admission. I am nervous since if I don't get admitted this time, I will be wasting more than 6 months. I really hope I get this.

My stats aren't the best so I don't know if them choosing the high stats people first is true. 

GPA: 3.6 

TEAS: 89.9 

SCIENCE: 100

READING: 79

LANGUAGE: 97

MATH: 94 

Maybe I was in the early batch because of my science score, I don't really know.

That science score is amazing. This could be the reason for your early acceptance. I also heard that it's a kind of lottery system for UT. 

I hope those of us who are still waiting will hear this week.

Has anyone that's taken the TEAS gotten accepted ? On my TEAS exam I got a 100 on my science portion as well. my lowest was a 95 in my reading but my other scores were 97 for math and grammar/ english language.

I have not heard back yet! I completed my application on August 15th.
My stats are:

3.6 cumulative GPA

3.75 science GPA

HESI:  96.86 total

Reading: 92

Grammar: 98

Vocab: 94

Biology: 100

Chemistry: 100

Anatomy: 96

Math: 98
