Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Pacesetter BSN Spring 2025

Hi, I am a pre-nursing student aspiring to start my nursing journey at UTHSC Pacesetter program in Spring 2025. I am starting this thread to connect with individuals on the same path. I will complete my prerequisites by August 2024 and plan to take HESI the same month. I plan to catch the deadline of September 1, 2024, for Spring 2025 admission. I am nervous since if I don't get admitted this time, I will be wasting more than 6 months. I really hope I get this.

 

We shouldn't expect any more emails for today, right?

But for UTHSC, there is no way to show your experiences right? There was no essays or resumes they accepted. I wonder how they will even take those into consideration

I did not see that

I was under the impression that all that matters for Cizik is your GPA and TEAS/HESI

when I asked about it they said they really only take into consideration GPA and TEAS/HESI

Congrats everyone!! ❤️ I'm still waiting to hear back. can anyone share the timeframe that they give you guys to accept the offer? Is it a week or two weeks?

They told me that they accept 130 students every term. Does it mean they sent 130 emails already today and now they wait. Or how many students get accepted in the first wave? I am really nervous 😬

I received an acceptance email and my UTH status still says application received also.

Anymore acceptances? I applied by mid-Sept. Any acceptances to those who applied during that time?

so apparently when I spoke to the admissions person they said the people who had the highest stats were receiving the acceptances first. According to him, they still are having a meeting this week coming up and said we should hear from them this week but did say he hopes that everyone hears by the end of this month. The acceptances and denials are on rolling basis .
