Hi!
I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2012 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. I have heard that they are letting people know on April 18th. Let's hope that's accurate because I'm so anxious to find out! Post here if you've heard anything at all in regards the the Nursing Program!
Hope to hear from everyone soon!

Ok, I don't know what to do at this point. According to these posts and my GPA and Teas score, it seems as though I should have gotten into one of the programs but I still have not heard anything. I emailed and called Dr. Gurney and still have not heard from her (maybe that is why I'm not getting in??). I know this is a whole new process and I know how City Colleges can sometimes work. I'm afraid my application may have 'fallen through the cracks'. Any ideas on what to do? Do you think going there in person is a good idea?
My Situation: I might missing some of materials so I went to admission office to check. One thing that didn't match is Chem 121 and Chem 201 but I have Chem 212 which is higher. I spoke to Dr. Gurney before apply that it should be fine and I have a record of previous Chem but it expired. I don't know that is an issue or not. Also, I put [email protected] that I need to change to @student.ccc.edu.
I think that they were way overwhelmed with this whole application/acceptance thing. I would not be surprised if there are applications that haven't been looked at yet.
Although, there are probably hundreds of applications with exact, or similar, scores. I would imagine they just have to fill the spots till there are no more and people will be left out.
Also, I think they are not done filling spots. We at least know of someone who got an email late yesterday, if I'm correct. There are about 20ish people posting on here and there were about 1700 applications so who knows what is really going on.
As for calling or emailing, I would email. Perhaps asking if there is a time frame that we can expect to hear one way or another. Or if we can assume there are no more spots left.
I think if there were no more spots left they'd be sending out rejection emails ASAP so that we would stop bothering them and I have yet to hear of one person who has received one.
Mu2012, Dr. Gurney specifically told me they sent emails right away to anyone who did not meet the standards for entrance or who had anything missing.
Sskips, I see that you have emailed twice...... hmmmm. I would not email again then. Maybe a phone call to ask if the acceptance process has been complete????
