  1. According to Becks, booklist should be confirmed by the school in a week.
  2. Was I the only one that didn't get an update. We received the book list a couple weeks ago. I stopped into the Nursing Dept to get a print out today. Only to be told that the book list has not been finalized and if I went to Becks to purchase, they won't let me. I just called Becks and was told by Bob that now all CCC Nursing Programs have to use the same books, which they currently are not. He also mentioned that he heard the other schools are supposed to start using Truman's book list. If the Truman's book list isn't used then they have to order the new books and send back the wrong ones. However, he hasn't received a confirmation and instructed me to callback Wednesday afternoon. I am surprised that I didn't get an email tell me that the book list isn't correct. I know one student mentioned that they ordered the books already on Amazon:no: However, I am thankful to Bob at Becks for giving me some info.
  3. Just got a call from the uniform store. My uniform is ready to be picked up. The closer it gets to Aug 20th the more real it becomes : )
  4. Have informed by a 2nd year nursing student, that you pull a number out of a box. Then students register in order of the number they pulled.
  5. Registration is during finals, what are they thinking?????
  6. @lungu2007, how much was all the books on Amazon? The pack at Becks is approx$1,100.
  7. FYI, Just ordered at Truman and was told females had to have female tops, not unisex.
  8. Got the background check email from District and one from the background company also. Called Truman Nursing Dept and Ms. Walker stated she wasn't aware and would followup with me after speaking to Dr. Gurney.
  9. Was chatting w/ a 2nd yr nurse student. She recommended I get 1 uniform & lab coat/jacket. However, she is getting a 2nd set this yr, since clinicals are 2 days a week, 12hrs. I have issues : ) so, I will get 2 sets this yr.
  10. Uncle!!! I have come to terms with the fact that we won't get the book list any time soon : (
  11. Booklist is supossed to be emailed to all today!!!!!
  12. K, finally got my package turned in today!!! Good luck to everyone on gettng the paperwork in : )Was told the book list should be available Friday or early next week. Forgot to ask about Orientation : (
  13. @xMooxMoo. The checklist does give the drugs on the 10 panel. However, I assumed (incorrectly) 10-panel was the same everywhere. My lab also took blood for the TCA (Trycyclic anti-depressants) and stated that is the only way they test for it, but the checklist says it has to be tested in the urine. When I get the results I will go back to Truman, if that still doesn't satisfy them, will have to go to Mercy.Once we get this out the way, we will offically be nursing students!!!!!!!!
  14. Omg!!!!!!!!! At Truman, tried turning in my packet, only to be told my 10 panel drug test didn't include methanphatamines, didn't make copy of my CPR card, didn't bring checklist and didn't have actual lab results attached for titers.
