Hello everyone, I just spoke with the clinical coordinator at Truman (didn't catch her name) and she said that the background check we submitted for our application in February is all we need for now. In December we will need a new background check and we will find out more then. She is also supposed to email me info on the 10 panel drug screen test. I will post that info when I get it.

Anyone still looking to switch from days to evenings? I would like to have day classes if anyone's willing to switch.

My advice is to call her frequently throughout the day. Don't leave any messages though. Just try to catch her. I left messages too and never heard back. Call 3-4 times every 45 minutes, if you can, throughout the day. Hopefully she will answer your call one of those times. If that doesn't work, contact the Truman nursing department and let them know your concerns. I did that as well. I don't see why you wouldn't get in if you have the right grades and completed all the other tasks (background check, transcripts, etc...). Good luck!

lungu2007-if you think you have the credentials to have been accepted, you might try calling Dr. Gurney to check on the status of your application. With so much going on, sometimes things slip through the cracks-emails don't get sent or she thought she sent them...that's what happened to me.

Hi Chicagogirl710, I'm pretty sure they are only taking city college GPAs into consideration but who knows?! Some good news for all those still waiting...I called the Truman nursing department this morning and they said that Dr. Gurney will be reviewing applications the rest of the week. She told me to call Friday if I still hadn't heard from Dr. Gurney so that's good, I guess.

Thanks for the info Mu2012: which admission people are you talking about? Truman or district office? I'm pretty sure I put ccc.edu. I emailed her about it and let her know but I don't know if she got my email. I sent it yesterday.

Thanks, Mu2012. I'm pretty sure I have all my bases covered. Maybe I just have to accept that I didn't get into program.

Ok, I don't know what to do at this point. According to these posts and my GPA and Teas score, it seems as though I should have gotten into one of the programs but I still have not heard anything. I emailed and called Dr. Gurney and still have not heard from her (maybe that is why I'm not getting in??). I know this is a whole new process and I know how City Colleges can sometimes work. I'm afraid my application may have 'fallen through the cracks'. Any ideas on what to do? Do you think going there in person is a good idea?

@ Bethany1975 I wouldn't worry about it-her email should be in the city colleges directory. You just made it easier for us!
