Does anyone know when we're suppose to start hearing from CHLA??

I turned in my packet yesterday, actually hand delivered it. I also went to the Nurse.com fair in LA this week and got to speak to the recruiter. She said that on April 15, all the Unit Managers will START to go through the packets. Then a week later and if your chosen, they will start to call you in for the panel interview. The call/panel interview will go into early May. 2nd interview will be the rest of May, and by June 1st they hope to have their cohort hired.

I just wanted to post this so people dont freak out if they dont get an interview scheduled by the first week of April.

I had heard that it would be about a month after application were due that we would start hearing, so the week after april 15th sounds about right! Thanks for the more detailed timeline borgqueen!

Hey guys! I've been offered at job at UNC in a unit where I did a clinical. It's an awesome unit and it'd be fun to work there but it's not my dream job. I want to go back to LA but is it stupid to turn down something that I have for the uncertainty of the future????? any thoughts?? Has anyone been through this?

this is about CHLA, not NC jobs. Go with your heart. Its a difficult decision. HR said that we will not hear until the first couple weeks in May about interviews. Good Luck everyone!

I realize knurse815 that this is about CHLA not NC - I am simply asking advice or thoughts from anyone else who may have found themselves in similar situations. You can rest assure that if offered a job from CHLA I will take that job HOWEVER since I already heard from several hospitals out here I am wondering what I should do. I will most definitely not apologize for asking FOR ADVICE AND THOUGHTS FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE LIKE ME AND MAY FIND THEMSELVES IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS OR AT LEAST HAVE HAD TO MAKE SIMILAR DECISIONS. Everyone on this forum has been spectacular, nice and helpful so I find your first comment rather rude

Oh gosh no problem. I have a paper from hell I'm trying to write and my car for broken into and my stethoscope got stolen!!! I'm sorry :(
