Hi guys!

Just wanted to start a thread for applicants to the Children's Hospital LA Nurse Residency for March 2018 :)

If you'd like you can comment below on where you've applied and your application status. I've applied to the 5 West Step Down Unit.

Kano39, oh ok I wasn't sure how many days they were interviewing. Best of luck though and I will keep you updated with any information that I receive!

From my understanding 4 west is part of hem/onc but solid and cns tumors, step down stem cell transplants, whereas BMT is a seperate 14 bed unit and considered ICU. My first interview is in 3 days! Nervous but excited...I am also curious as to what questions they'll ask 😅

hello everyone! just wondering but is it usually one person who interviews you for the speed interview?

When you got your invitation to the interview, did it say that it is a Speed Interview?

I have been invited via email, and the email says "full in person interview".

Just wondering what to expect....

The email I recieved said "in person interview"...nothing about about a speed interview. It might be different for each unit? Who knows

They will ask personality based questions for the interview, so nothing to study or review before hand. Just go in and be yourself! The FIRST interview is a speed screen interview which will last between 10-15 minutes with different nurse managers from the unit. There is more then 1 nurse in the first interview and I'm told if they select you to come back for a second interview you will be contacted at a later date. I hope that answers any questions you guys have. I had my first interview/speed screen interview last week with 3 managers on 4east, hoping to hear back from them this week. Good luck everyone.

I was just called for a second interview for the NICCU on Nov 10th. Good luck to everyone and even if you don't get to the second rounds don't get discouraged
