CHLA March 2010 New RN Residency

Published

Hi everyone!

Was wondering if anyone was accepted into the March 2010 CHLA new grad residency. If so, it would be nice to hear from you and to get to know you before the residency starts.

I was hired on Dec. 22, 2009 to work on 6 West. I am really excited about starting my new career.

Look forward to hearing from you.

as what ive understand on the agreement, if you accept their offer for the RN Residency Program you are already committed to them for 2yrs after their 22 weeks program, of else you will have to pay the training fee...

Yes, after you complete the training, you work there as a nurse. I'm curious how they decide which floor new grads are placed on, since everyone applies for the residency as a whole and not to a specific department.

there's a form on the packet that list the available units of CHLA, you will have to pick your choice their

hello everyone, I also applied on the first day and submitted additional packet on the 6th. Does everyone have a BSN? or ADN with another Bachelor's? I was also wondering if anyone knew when we might expect to hear anything, i.e a screening phone interview, or a call to come in? I always get so excited applying, then the wait begins and it is agonizing. I got my license last August...prospects are slim...anyway, good luck everyone !!!

I submitted mine as well. Even though it's 6 years or more as long as I got a job lols.

I have a BSN....hasn't conferred any sort of advantage at all so far in applying to hospitals. Its who you know. I applied to this program and trying to stay positive but I bet its the odds of a scratch ticket on getting an interview. Hope I do but not counting on it. The job I have now in LTC I got because of someone I knew...BSN was irrelevant.

Hi everyone, I got invited to interview for the September cohort. To those who have already gone through the interview process I would appreciate any information they have. I have been invited to interview for the emergency department. Has anyone interviewed for the ED before? Thank you for your help and good luck to everyone.

I'm interviewing as well. I was told it's a preliminary interview, and I go to HR for it. Did you already have that interview? If so, how was it?

I was told the same but it will be for the ED. Good luck!
