Hey guys anyone applying for this? Anybody have any tips or have gotten any interviews for PEDS? Does any one know what questions hospitals typically ask?

hey guys i am applying for the Loma Linda RN residency program for 2012 ....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me any tips on how you guys were able to get the job. what you said that made you stand out and get the interviews? Were the test they had hard? Was the interview hard?

albpreemieRN hey how did the interview go for CHOC new grad program? What type of questions did they ask you? What do you think they saw in you that they didn't see in the other 1000+ applicants? I just applied to the new grad program, I don't even know what to expect right now any advice will help. Thanks

oh also doesn't Tenet when you apply ask you to do a test....how do you know you did well? Is that what they base on whether to call you or not?

Hey guys so I just found out about this program. It's been a year since i had a real nursing job will they still consider you? I left Dave a message inquiring about more information. I don't even know how to apply to a position for new grad. When you go on the website there's no option other than to call Dave for more info. For those of you that got the job any tips on what to say/do to get the job?

Sounds horrible. You should invest in more time to go have some fun...do things that you like just for you. I'm struggling with be unemployed and i won't lie i'm feeling pretty depress myself. But i can't imagine all the stuff your going through on top of being a nurse. We just have to find a balance in our life. Sorry i'm not help...i'm actually in the middle of wanting to cry! But lets all be hopeful and hope for the best to come....

This is a great thread but i wish there was a thread for nurses that are not coping well with how bad the economic is going. I don't know how to post stuff on here or else i would start one myself. I'm so sad right now, my bills are outrageously high. I'm living off my savings, people i live with just don't understand how hard it is right now and I'm so annoyed of the dumb jokes here and there. Sorry everybody for this post i just need to vent...........

OMG! is the hiring freeze over now? Does any one know if ORANGE COUNTY is hiring in experience nurses?! I'm freaking out here! Its been a year and my loans are outrageous. I'm sure a lot of us are in the same boat... but still!

Oh okay yeah sounds great! I'm trying to look for a nurse recruiter to pay a fee to help you look for a job. I've heard that there are community college that offer you an internship to hospitals and if you work for free for 12 weeks and they like you they'll hire you. I'm trying to look into that. Where are you from? Is there a way to communicate more privately here?

Cyram81RN I have applied for the flu clinic i haven't heard anything from them. I am looking to volunteer at irvine kaiser but they lady told me they have too many applicants and will not be taking any more applications until the 1st of 2012. I'm looking into volunteering at st Joseph. I called hoag hospital about their internship turns out i have to be a student to enroll. I only speak and understand vietnamese. I was offered to be considered a candidate for this health day care but i decline due to the job description. Now i'm thinking i made a mistake! I am on linkedin but that website kind of confuses me. I'm trying to apply for nursing homes now. I have many friends with jobs in hospitals and non willing to help or could even help. I got an interview at victor valley a week ago. Kept following up with the lady and she jerked me around and finally told me they are on a hiring freeze and if i follow up with her again at the end of the month she'll let me know if she will hire me.

The job market is so tight right now i don't know what to heck to do. People say go back for your BSN but i can't afford to go back to school without a job to help pay my loans. It's so depressing out there. Why become a nurse if you can't even get a job because everybody wants experienced nurses. All these stupid hospitals and nursing homes need to realize they need to invest in new nurses because eventually people will retire and they'll have to do it anyways! I'm so frustrated right now...sucks to be a nurse at this time.

hey so have you had any luck finding a job yet? I have pretty bad luck too. Ive applied to so many positions i forget which ones ive applied to. I just called kaiser and they told me they have too many applications for volunteering that they are not taking apps until the 1st of 2012! I'm so confuse right now its almost a year since i graduated. I'm trying to find a recruiting agent to find me a job. Not too sure how that works. I keep contacting the wrong types of recruiting agency that want 3-5 year experience! Any ideas since you last posted this?
