Chico State University Reviews

Published

Hi everyone.

I am planning on applying to Chico states' Nursing program for spring start. I just got my acceptance letter for the school itself, but have no yet applied to the program yet.

I just want to know about the school a little more. I wanted to see what everyone thinks about the city itself and the school, the good and the bad.

If you can just tell me your opinions about the academics, the staff, and faculty I would love to hear.

I would also appreciate what you think of the people and the city itself.

I have a tour scheduled for in a few weeks, but I really would like to hear what other people think too.

Thank you! :)

I just got 4 of my shots done but now I need to get a titer to show I'm immune to chickenpox.

Did everyone get their second shot of MMR to be vaccinated against rubeola? I asked the lady about a second shot of MMR for rubeola and she said I had to wait another month for it.. I hope the program will be okay with that..

I had a titer for MMR and results came back immune for all 3.

I really hate that we are forced to get vaccinated :(

I had 3 shots of MMR.

@AB92, if you've had chicken pox, you can ask your doctor for a note stating that you did so you can save money on a titer.

Also, can you go to a different place to get the second MMR shot?

Urgh. I wish I did these shots before hand..

@Jennybewbs I can't take a second dose less than 28 days.. So my next MMR booster for rubeola is on January 16.

It doesn't ask for rubeola on the website. Just an MMR.

Ugh, it just rejected my car insurance because it's in my dad's name. Not sure how to fix that one.

@AB92 Contact the nursing office to tell them!. I'm sure it won't be such a big deal. I mean they do give us a VERY short period to do everything

@K2115, I have the same Problem. They told me to upload a insurance card with my name on it. I'm not labeled as the primary driver so my parents names are on my insurance car even though the car is in my name.

That's exactly what they told me. I don't know how to go about fixing it. I'd have to get off my dad's insurance and that would be a huge hassle. It's saving us both money for me to be on it.

I don't think you need to get off it. I think maybe just contact your insurance company and ask if they can do something where it shows your name and your proof of coverage. Like you're ONE of the drivers that is covered to drive the car. That's what I'm going to do tomorrow.

@k2115 If you look at the immunization page and look at MMR, it says Measle, Mumps, Rubella, and Rubeola. A second MMR vaccine shows immunity to rubeola.

@Jennybewbs Yeah, I was going to email P**** about it tonight so that hopefully she'll get back to me tomorrow. Oh and for the varicella titer, I had a different doctor when I was a child so I don't know how to go about asking my current doctor. I'll probably look at my medical records and figure it out.

I'm also on my dad's insurance for my car, so let me know how you guys are fixing it or if you guys are asking the nursing department about it.

But if you look at certified profile, it doesn't have a place for rubeola. Only for MMR. I uploaded my MMR and it's completed, I don't need anything else for it.

@AB92, what I did, was upload a second document that showed The premium my mom had to pay that also had ALL drivers' names on it. I'll update you on whether or not that goes through.

@k2115, did you have more than one shot? That might be why, but in our packet it does say that two shots are required.

I just had a titer drawn for MMR, and that's what I uploaded. It was accepted.

Definitely let us know if that works, I'll do it if it does!
