Well, this is how it goes. I have 7 months left of school and I am making all A's and B's. I work part time have 4 kids and a hubby. I started chemo last week and it is kicking my butt. I am always tired and I am a diabetic. It isn't that bad, some of the side effects are just exhausting me, but I am hanging in there. I have a great support system in and out of school. Just wanted to vent. God Bless, Nancy
LadyMarine,
I went through Chemo last year. Then I lost my job, then I decided to become a nurse. I do not know how you are doing it. Have you thought about going on disability to stop working until you're done with Chemo? Is your husband still in the Marine Corps? If so, there is support to help you with your family through the base.
I don't know what kind of cancer you are dealing with but I wish you the best. I had breast cancer which spread to my lymph nodes. It's been a little over a year and I'm hanging in there. Still tired alot, still recovering but, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Please feel free to PM me if you need some support or have questions. I too was a Marine wife, anything I can do to help, let me know.
Thank you all for the support. I am so determined to get through this and I will. I have a very strong will. Also, to one post I was in the Marines not my husband. Anyway feels kinda good to whine a little. I have to be strong for my family and it feels good to vent. Thank you all for the prayers, Nancy

Sometimes I ask myself how people with kids really managae to get through nursing school and make good grades. They're amazing. I don't think I could handle so much at one time - but having chemo on top of that?!?! You are a strong one! I want to wish you the best of luck getting through chemo and getting through school. I admire you very much, keep up the positive attitude. Hugs!
