Chemistry Study Group for Spring 2009

I am starting my third chemistry class on January 12th (tomorrow!!) and was wondering if anyone was interested in forming a study group (or if there is already one on here that I did not see yet?)

I'm in! I'm taking Chem102, I took Chem101 last semester and got an A. I signed up for the same professor because he was a gem! Hopefully I can pull off another good grade. :D I start 1/21.

morningdew, what did you learn in the chem 101? what was the most difficult concept?

chandra- that is a HEAVY load....good luck to you...im taking three classes, chem, micro and religion, and already feel like i bit off more than i can chew! (classes didnt even start yet!!)

I know. I am not going to have a life at all, which I don't really have now LOL! Anyway I hope that I can keep up. I am going to have to be extremely organized and stay ahead of everything so that I don't fall behind.

The hardest concept for me was definitely the gas laws, just trying to remember which formula went with what law and stuff like that.

We reviewed some HS chemistry like what are protons, neutrons, electrons, their charges.

We learned about ions, isotopes, the gas laws, density, conversions- this was the part that was heavy with math I had to do a lot of practice problems,pressure, intermolecular forces.

We also did balancing chemical equations, acid and bases, moles, and I'm sure there are more things but thats what I can think of off the top of my head.

Hi All~

Chem starts for me today! I'm taking Gen, Organic, & Bio-chem all in one ... I'm definitely nervous, but I'm hoping with all your help we'll encourage each other and help one another out!! I'm taking A&P2 as well with a few other gen eds ... so I'm ready to buckle down for a semester with my books! Please tell me that Chem isn't that bad ... this class has my stomach doing somersaults!! :no::confused:

I am taking the second semester of Intro to Gen, Organic and Biochemistry this semester. I would not really say that Chemistry is a bad subject, it just requires a lot of studying (at least for me.)
