Lady of the Lake Accelerated ASN
I knew it would take longer to get a BSN, but I didn't think it would take that long. I don't consider that to be an accelerated program because you can go to any school and get a BSN in that amount of time or less provided you have all your pre-reqs completed. I think they are going to lose a lot of people with that one because LSU's and Southeastern's accelerated programs are 18 months. I thought it would be about the same as theirs or less.

Lady of the Lake Accelerated ASN
Hello everyone, I am new to this thread but I have been reading all of your comments. Congrats to all of you that were accepted. I am interested in applying to the program for Jan. but I heard that they will be switching to an accelerated BSN program in the fall of next year. Does anyone know if this is true and how long the new program will be?

Chemistry Study Group for Spring 2009
I know. I am not going to have a life at all, which I don't really have now LOL! Anyway I hope that I can keep up. I am going to have to be extremely organized and stay ahead of everything so that I don't fall behind.

What does your spring 2009 class schedule look like...?
I will be taking Gen Chem I, Chem Lab I, Micro Lab, Statistics, Macroeconomics, Humanities, and Eng II. I am pushing myself because I want to enter nursing school hopefully in the fall. I will not have a life for the next few months, but it will be worth it in the end.

Chemistry Study Group for Spring 2009
I am also thankful for this group. I am going to need all the help I can get. I am in my last semetster of pre reqs and I am pushing myself to the limit. I want to hopefully start nursing school in the fall so I took 17 hours this semester. I am taking Gen Chem, Chem Lab, Eng II, Micro Lab, Statistics, Humanities, and Macroeconomics. I know, I know, but I figure if I can't handle all of them then I can drop the Macro and Humanities for the summer. I am really going to try my best though. Good luck to everyone this semester! Let's get this study group going. I start my classes on Tues.

Nursing Schools
I may have confused you. I was saying if I applied to LSU BSN program, I was told that they didn't accept Delgados A&P. I understand why they don't now. The link is http://www.dcc.edu/campus/charity/rnprog/appdeadline/index.html.

Nursing Schools
I just went on the Charity site and they say that the admission deadline is Feb. 27. I was going to take the TEAS in Feb also. So did they change it to Jan 31 and didn't change it online.

Nursing Schools
Thanks to all for your help. The fact that LSU doesn't accept A&P from Delgado is one of the reasons why I don't think I want to go there. I don't want to take it all over again. When I was in my A&P II lab they were testing out some new curriculum in order to prepare to make the lab acceptable to LSU. I worked my butt off in that class because I took it during the summer. I have basically taken all of my pre reqs for all of the nursing schools in the area. I am kind of nervous because I was so confident that I was going to get into someones nursing school that the thought of me not being accepted never crossed my mind. I am going to remain confident and just make plans in case I don't get accepted this fall or into Charity in the spring.

Nursing Schools
Thank you for all of your help. I really did want to get my bachelors, but I have heard that Charity is the best. I am going to apply for Spring 10 and see how it goes. I will still apply to some other schools also. :nuke:

Nursing Schools
Hi Everyone. I was wondering if anyone can give me any information about what nursing schools to apply to. I will be finished with all of my pre-reqs next semester and will start applying in Feb. Does anyone know anything about William Carey's program in New Orleans? I was looking at Our Lady of Holy Cross, Nicholls St, and Southern University. I am currently enrolled at Delgado but I didn't want to wait until next Jan to get into their school. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
