***Chemistry - Fall 2005***

Who else is taking Chemisrty this semester? I thought maybe we can check in with each other, and help each other out.

If there is enough of us maybe we can even get a sticky.

I am taking Health Science Chemistry 1.

I'm taking Principles of Chemistry this fall semester.

I received my Chemistry textbook in the mail yesterday (school starts 8/22). I was flipping through it and almost cried. LOL! :scrying:

I said to my husband, "This has to be the most boring class ever!".

I'm actually looking forward to Psychology, Anatomy and Physiology. I find them very interesting. I'm even looking forward to my required Algebra class and learning the math skills that I never had. But, this Chemistry book looked painfully boring, I can't imagine how I'll make it through!?! :confused:

One day at a time, I guess...

The same case here. I got my Chem textbook yesterday. When I was flipping through it, the words "boring and sleepy" appeared in my mind. I will be taking Chem 101 which is my 1st science pre-req. I am prettty nervous but glad that there are lots of support here!!

I too am taking Chem I. My classes are in the evening from 8-10:30 Yuk!

Hey everyone. I'll be taking Chem I starting on Monday. Summer went so fast I can't believe its time to go back to school already! I still have no clue who my teacher is. Hopefully, its a good one :D

I am taking Chem 104, basic chemistry in the fall too. I start September 26th. Everyone has told me it's a hard class....I hope I can keep up.

I just went to Ratemyprofessors.com and looked up my Chem instructor.

He only has one remark, but at least it's a :wink2:!!!! woohoooo! lol

However, the ratings are: clarity 5.0, easiness: 4.0. ....must be a brainiac that posted that remark, or the instructor himself! :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Hi. I'm taking Chemistry w/lab this fall also. I'm already chewing my fingernails. I took Biology this summer, loved it but chemistry looks confusing. It's great to have this forum hopefully we can help each other through. :idea:

Hi all!

I'm taking Chem 101 and Bio 101 this semester. I already started Chem on Monday night, wasn't bad..I have lab tonight though. I found the first Chapter of Bio to be Chemistry! I hope I do good. So scared, have a BS in Marketing and am now starting over for Nursing! :uhoh21:

Well I had chem class for the 3rd time today. We have our first quiz this Friday and I am lost. I do not understand any of it , I can't even figure out how to work my dang calculator:eek: I thought at first it wasn't going to be so bad. I was wrong.

I'm screwed and scared to death that I will fail this class. I am going to meet with my instructor tomorrow. I told him today that I am completely confussed.

Ya'll say a prayer that I'll catch on to chemistry, and quick!

My instructor e-mailed our syllabus to us today. It shows there are 15 points in extra credit by doing homework assignments. The homework is only obtained from the chem tutor at the school, and we must stay at least 30 minutes in the resource room with the tutor for a chance to get full credit on it.

I will definitely take advantage of this! I guess I've got my M&W full of class & lab, so I will plan on spending at least an hour on T&R with a tutor.

I got my books today.....4 required books!!! I am scared!!!! :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I just opened the package:

1 is the textbook, 1 is a "Solutions to Exercises" book, 1 is a lab manual, and the other is not a book, it's a mediapak.

AND.....We start this coming Monday 8/29, our first test is 9/7.

We have a text w/cd, a lab book, and a book (like 50 pages) on DNA.
