  1. Hi Everyone: Just wanted to let you guys know that I got in. It took a little longer to hear from the school because they were waiting for mt to finish up my fall classes. Once I did that I heard from them right away. I will be starting in the 2006 day class. I am so excited! Now I just have to survive Microbiology and A & P I this semester.
  2. I applied to a local nursing school on 8/19. I then was brought in for an interview 2 Fridays ago. The admissions woman told me that I should hear something pretty soon, but the waiting is so hard. I hope to enter school in the fall of 06. Are any of you out there waiting to hear from a school? How do you keep your minds off of it? It is driving me crazy!!!!!!!
  3. I feel the same way that you do, DISCOURAGED!!! Everyone that I speak to make it sound impossible to get in. I am in NJ and have an interview tomorrow with Helene Fuld. I am trying to remain possitive but it is really hard. I just hope that they ley me know fairly quickely and don't string me along for months. I hate waiting!!!!!
  4. I went to a private college right after school and then came home and took some community college courses. I am at the same community college as before and they are affiliated with the NS that I want to get into and that college already has my transcripts. Oh well I guess I just have to hope that they take into consideration that it was a long time ago and I was a kid.
  5. My school also has a grace period, but I just thought that it looks bad. I hope the admissions dept feels differently! Thanks for the reply.
  6. I graduated high school in the year of 1992 and went straight onto college. I only lasted a year and did not pass even one class. I had no interest in it and did not know what I wanted to do with my life, so I just goofed off. I have been back in school for about a year and a half now and I am doing really well. This time I am very serious about getting my education and making something of myself. My question is do you think that this one year will kill my chances of getting into NS?
  7. I understand your concerns. I also have 3 young children and plan on starting in 2006. Why don't you scope out the other mothers at your kids school. A lot of them are probably stay at home moms who wouldn't mind making some extra money and helping you out and it probably wouldn't be too bad for them because you aren't there full time!
  8. I am 31, married, with three children. I am hoping to start nursing school in the Spring of 06 or fall 06. I just put my application in on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed.
  9. I too am taking Chem I. My classes are in the evening from 8-10:30 Yuk! Good luck to all!!!!!!
  10. Hi Everyone: I applied today to Helene Fuld School in Camden County. I have been in the pre nursing program at Camden County College for about a year and a half now. Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to here a reply from them? I know that they contact you first to have an interview, do they do this by mail or phone? Any information that you could give me will be greatly appreciated and ease the pain of waiting a bit!
