***Chemistry - Fall 2005***

Who else is taking Chemisrty this semester? I thought maybe we can check in with each other, and help each other out.

If there is enough of us maybe we can even get a sticky.

I am taking Health Science Chemistry 1.

we are now onto electron configuration. i do not find it fun at all! :uhoh3:

i have to sit down and look it over cuz right now it's a big mess to me!

Thanks for all the support, unfortunately I got an F! I guess I will have to take the class again which sucks but if it's what I have to do I will do it. I can not believe how hard this class is for me. My first test was a D and I thought I did better this time but apparently not. My teacher just says to treat this class like a preview to get me ready to take it again. At this point I think she is right. /cry

Well, my chemistry is finished. I did manage to maintain my A, so I am happy.

I didn't even ask what I made on my take-home test. I'm sure he curved those tests because everyone complained about it. NO ONE could find how to do all of the problems, nor all the word questions. In fact, I found most of the word problem answers online, not in our book. The test was from a previous instructor, & previous book. You'd think it would cover the same stuff!

Anyway, I hope you all manage to pull it off. Chemistry definitely requires a lot of time.

Thanks. Yes I am so glad it's over. I hope your class is getting better. If not, good luck when you retake it. It's a hard subject. I'm so glad it doesn't have a 5 year rule. LOL

congrats fun2care! an a is great!! i got a c on that really bad test i had. i'm hoping to get a b in the class. let's pray!:confused:

we are now onto lewis dot structures and molecular structures. kinda confusing. hopefully i will get the hang of it!

i finally figured out a way to post the list i made:

i know i was confused at first because if the compound was something like: secl4, i automatically thought tetrahedral because of the number4! then after reviewing this chart i made, i realized that this compound had to be trigonal pyramid/seesaw! (5 regions, but 4 bonds, hence the 4!) (ax4e...meaning that there is 1 pair of extra "dots". lol)
