Is there already a thread for those of us taking Chemistry this fall? I know I could definitely use one!

My class starts the 31st.

We also have to register into Pearson and it will be online homework..Class doesn't start til 08/30..I'll let you know how it turns out for me..

I had another class today. Two things about the online homework, it's not timed, it just has to be done by the due date and the problems correspond to the problems in the book:yeah:. So I guess I won't cut and run. At least all of our tests and quizzes are in class.

Our professor told us not to worry, the algebra stuff in the first two chapters is as hard as it gets. We'll see.

What's the name of your Chem book...the order of what you reviewed already sounds similar to my chem book. Also does anyone on this trend attend BMCC in NYC? Just curious to know who else is taking Chem 121 at BMCC this Fall 10 semester:eek:

Which Chemistry?

I just got finished taking Principles of General Chemistry. It was pretty tedious. I dont know if was the teacher or me! LOL! But i got with a study group and we pulled through.

I'm sure you will be fine.

I will be taking Chem 121...it's listed as General, Organic and Biological Chem...

The cem you took was it General Chem -Chem 118? Are you almost finish with your pre-req? What classes are you taking in the Fall?

Hi studnur

This fall will be my last semester as far as pre reqs go for applying to the Nursing Program.

I am in Jacksonville, Florida, and the Nursing school that I hope to get into is FSCJ. The program here requires that you have all your sciences finished in order to apply but, they accept other classes to build on points because they go by a points system.

This fall I am taking Microbiology, Sociology, Psychology and a Humanities class. I have to take the entrance test which is the NAT. After this semester I am applying for our summer term.

How many classes do you have left?

I start Intro to Chem on Sept 8th! I'm not as nervous about it as I was with A&P I, I hope it doesn't kick my butt like A&P did tho...that was rough. I am also taking sociology, intro to nutrition, and comp religion...a full load-YIKES! :p

I start Chem on 8/30, as well as Nutrition. I'm absolutely terrified of the chem, hated it in high school; and haven't been in a college classroom in over 11 years! (got my BA in '99; so will be a second-degree nursing student once I finish the pre-req's I still need after these: chem II, microbio, and A&P)

I'm starting gen/bio/organic chem on 8/30. I just found out I have the same prof as my other chem class, and I'm very relieved.

I just got my course syllabus. Our class has 5 exams each of which are worth 14% of our final grade. The final exam is worth 30% of our grade. I am SO terrified considering I did horribly in HS chemistry.

Had my first class tonight! It seems easy enough. We have three midterms, six quizzes (only counts four of them), lab points, and a final.
