Chemeketa 2017 RN entrance

Anyone else applying for the 2017 entrance? I'm taking CHEM 110 and BIO231 this fall, and hoping to take BI 232, 233, PSY 201 and CIS 101 this winter before applying. I already have a bachelors degree which should cover the other pre-reqs. Do you basically have to have a perfect score to get in? Does anyone know more about it? Their information is so lacking!

A friend of mine has a friend that also applied. She received her email about 1 hour ago.

Usually that is the case I thought too, but i am guessing that those are the easier ones for them to figure out. 48+20 people to send acceptance or alternate letters and then they have to deal with tie breakers and stuff so i could see how those letters can get trickier because they do resort to random a lot for the bottom pack of entrance and alternate spots. The lady at the seminar last year said she walks around with names in a hat usually for the random ones

However, being that you are 311 on the score list and the only alternate..You are guaranteed to be in...Our scores max at 310. But I can understand that anticipation of just having that email/letter confirmation!

So I got accepted into OHSU and got my email from Chemeketa..im alternate #1! Ahhh! Lol. I will decline ohsu if I get into chemeketa. What about u guys?? I had 304 points. Also just fyi in my email it said 40 spots were given and 28 alternate spots were given.

I want Chemeketa but I am an alternate with OHSU. I have 308 points. Still no email!!! And a friend of mine who has 300 still has no email either.

I know they lost a 1st year teacher this year so thats why they only are taking 40, but have 28 back ups just in case they get another teacher before the school year starts. According to the board of nursing how they determine how many students get in depends on how many teacher. Every 8 students to 1 teacher.

Nice to know because usually its 48 spots and 20 alternates.
