Chem or A&P, which is more difficult?

Published

Just wondering because I'm DREADING Chemistry! My school doesn't make algebra a pre req for chem, is that weird? We take liberal art math, wont I need algebra for chem?!

I found chemistry harder than A & P. If your good at math, then chemistry shouldn't be a problem. I felt it was harder for me because i'm not that great in math.

I am just horrible at math! I've taken a couple of math classes before college algebra, but not college algebra itself

Specializes in LTC.

I'm breezing through Chem, A&P is just killing me.

A&P by a MILE! The reason is because it is far more work and far more time consuming. We had a very rigorous program from a department head who felt it should be taught closer to a gross anatomy class than a 200 level. Chem was nothing in comparison. Just know you conversions, formulas and laws and work on setting up problems.

I took both Anatomy and Chemistry last semester. Chemistry is easy, if you do well in math. Anatomy is pretty difficult, at least at my school, but it only requires a lot of memorization! I'm taking Physiology and Microbiology this semester. I don't know what I was thinking!!!:uhoh3:

Personally Chem was much harder to me.

Chemistry was hell for me! My math skills suck. A&P I was difficult (took it many years ago). I just started A&P II...

Specializes in Med/Surg, Hospice.

So, generally speaking, is chemistry harder for those who struggle with math?

(I'm not a mathmetician by any stretch of the imagination!).

Chemistry is harder for me that A&P was. I am not that great at math either. A&P was hard but IMO not has hard as Chemistry is. I am taking Chemistry now.

It was Chem for me. I loved A& P.

I hate Chem! I had API last semester and it wasn't hard (time-consuming). APII this semester along with Chem and Chem is what I am suffering with!
