Moved to the NCLEX forum
Many are already aware of this and for most you can check on BON/BRN website. Some states participate in quick results BRN is not one of them and some people prefer to pay the small fee and get their results sometimes sooner than what is posted on their BON website. Some BON's will actually show their results in 24 hours. BRN well it depends on which NCLEX you take to whether it will show up or not. PN will not show up and results can take anything up to 4 weeks. For RN not everyone will get their results in 3 days, it states on their website 3-10 days and have seen some post that their got their results up to 4 weeks later. Plus BRN will not post results for RN without a SSN and you have no option but wait for letter which can take p to 4 weeks or just over.
The only way to verify passing is with the actual BRN in CA, there is no place for one to pay a fee to as they do not participate in Quick Results, nor do about 23 other states as well.
Glad to hear that you passed and got your results fairly quickly but the average wait time in CA is a full ten days.
I realized that graduated nursing students who take the NCLEX do not realize they can check if they passed for free (well in CA) on the Board of Registered Nurses website. For CA, here's the link, http://www.rn.ca.gov/online_services/perm-verif.shtml Then click "Online License Verification System", type in your first and last name and whalla, your name and date became an RN is in there (if you passed!).
Other states probably have the same thing, just check the website where you'd verify an RN's license, they update their database every 2-4 days with the newly passed RN's. I knew I passed w/in 5 days b/c I took the NCLEX on a thursday. My friend took NCLEX wed and found out passed on Friday.
best of luck!
