cheapest online RN to BSN?

So I have my ADN and then a bachelor's degree in another field. Because I already have a bachelor's I cannot receive any federal aid to get my BSN. I am looking for the cheapest online programs out there since I have to pay for it myself. Any suggestions?

I graduated from the Wyoming rn-bsn program and cost me around 4k. It is one of the cheapest Programs around and the setup is very conducive for online learning. I'm not factoring in the cost of books though, but I didn't keep any. I just resold them after the semester was over.

I had to take a few pre-reqs outside of the core nursing curriculum: Math, 1 English course, and an extra science, and this also accounts for my books purchased thus far. I have to agree the setup is nice and I was pleasantly suprised with the quality of education. I was really expecting my first few classes to be blow-offs since I had already had them in my ADN and boy was I wrong. I know I sound like they are paying me or something, but honestly I cannot say enough good things about this program.

Beware of Western Governors University.

If you attend, you can only ever receive a 3.0 GPA and if you decide to continue your education, many schools may not accept this.

I am starting classes with University of Wyoming on May 16. I am starting out slow and just taking Pathophysiology.It seems like alot of material to cover. How many classes did you take at a time. I will also be taking Art and Public Speaking from a community college this summer. I am nervous. I have not been in college for over 20 years.:)

I started with Patho, Pharm, Health assessment, and Intro to higher ed in nursing. It was a heavy load and I struggled to keep up at times but it was doable. Patho is very challenging, much more so than I expected and the course is set up so that there is minimal lecture and notes from the professor. You really have to know the book so it is a ton of reading. You are graded on all tests with a few critical thinking exercises. Personally, I HATED the book with a passion because it so redundant. I bought the accompanying study guide and this was a huge help for me. I also utilized Dr.Najeeb lectures on youtube. They are fantastic and much more to the point than the book. There are not lectures for everything but I found the clotting cascade, RAAS system, complement system, and diuretic ones very helpful.

You will be fine. I had students in my class who have been out of school for many years, just like yourself and they had no problems and if you have any issues the patho professor is very quick to respond to any questions. Feel free to PM me anytime with questions.

The Pathophysiology book looks very daunting! Thank you for tip on the Youtube site, I have it bookmarked now. I will be taking Pharmacology and Intro to Higher Ed in the fall. I am just trying to take baby steps so far.
