Chattahoochee Technical College ASN Fall 2016

Published

My name is Jamie. I attended the first application session today at Chattahoochee Tech for the Fall 2016 program. I've enjoyed following the last two groups of prospective students on these boards and thought I would see if I could get one started for the 2016 applicants. I'd love to get to know other prospectives and share the emotional rollercoaster that hopefully ends on a high!! :)

I didn't feel ready yet I'm going to take t on May 9th instead I had a ton of micro work and actual work over spring break and I decided it was best to get another date! But GOOD LUCKKKKK!! Woooo!

Sounds like a good plan! I didn't realize you are in micro right now. Who is your teacher? That is a great class...but very challenging. Good luck with your finals! And, Thank You!!

Yes ma'am! I have dr. ********! He is really nice and really good. Honestly having mrs. g for a&p both times at the Marietta campus... Micro is a breeze lol it's just a lot of work, which is fine! I'm enjoying it though! And only a couple more weeks to go! I have a 99 in the class right now so I won't have to worry about the final AS much and can focus on the teas. Thank you so much!

I didn't know we couldn't post names. Sorry I asked! I didn't have either of those teachers. You are doing great in Micro!! Way to go! I got an A, but it wasn't a 99! I took it over the summer with Algebra. If I had known what it would be like to take those classes with 4 kids at home, all summer, I would have waited for Fall. ha I thought I was going to apply to BSN programs; therefore, I retook Algebra for a better grade. However, I've decided that going for an ASN is a much better path for me. I can get to work sooner and take online classes for a BSN, when needed. I have been able to help my teens with their math though. So, it wasn't a waste. ;) I've had three cups of coffee and am clearly rambling. :) Have a great day everyone!

Hahaha! I didn't know we couldn't either! It astricked it! Wow! We know now . Great job it's hard work without kids but taking all that over the summer and having a family is tough so way to go! That's what I wasn't to do is get my BSN online after :) I hope you enjoyed ALL the coffee ;)

Good luck to you all this year! I wasn't able to make the application sessions this year, got super sick the day before the last one last week, so I will be applying next year!!! Good luck on the TEAS and with the admission process!!! Xoxoxo.

Hey Jamie, how was the second try at the teas exam?

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that Kelly. I hope you're feeling much better now. Have you considered applying to other schools for the programs that begin in the spring semester?

This was the only program that I knew of that didn't have a shelf life on their science classes. But no worries! I'm gonna take them in the fall and spring and I'll be all ready to go come this time next year!!!

Kelly, I am so sorry! Hopefully the rest of us will be there to show you the ropes in August 2017. ;) Good Luck!

Tas, thanks for asking. I did a whopping 1.3 points better. haha Oh well. Still pleased. Here's the deal for those that have yet to take it: Study your guide. I was planning to review each section and then started having major car trouble. Consequently, I was distracted all week by repair quotes and car shopping. Excuses excuses... Anyway, I only ended up reviewing the science section. I improved a lot in science. I saw almost everything I reviewed, in the guide, on the test. My scores went down in some of the other areas though. Moral of the story: If you are about to take the TEAS review the ENTIRE guide, so it is all fresh on your mind, and you should do GREAT! :)

Great! Thanks for the heads up...I'm getting nervous by the day LOL. Do you guys have all your immunization requirements ready?

Not yet. I need to do that.
